Get your arse (RSS) out there!

Are you getting all of the exposure that you can for your web site? Sure, your web site is up and running, its been properly coded to make it easily spiderable and you've even invested in a linking campaign along with paid advertising. So youve pretty much got all of your internet marketing bases covered, right?

No.

Even with all of these things in place, youre still leaving out a potentially huge part of your internet marketing campaign. A part that once implemented, can provide additional exposure with minimal work on your part probably work that youre already doing anyway.

Its called RSS and it comes packaged with most blogs as well as some of the more popular CMS and forum programs. RSS is simply a file that is populated with a predetermined number of entries from a particular program like a blog. For example, our blog writes an XML file to populate our marketing tips feed each time we post an entry. This feed can then be displayed in a newsreader program, on a personalized home page such as My Yahoo, or even displayed as static content on other web sites. In the case of blogs, your feed can also be found on search engines that focus on blogs such as Technorati or Weblogs.

If you're ready to reach into a largely untapped market, get your arse out there!
