I''ve got blogspots, and it''s infectious!

I've got blogspots and it is infectious! Blogging, or writing an online journal or regular comments and content on your own pages, has become increasingly popular, both with writers and readers on the Internet. Around six months ago I started my first blogspot. I began it on impulse, but it soon became my most important marketing tool for my writing and other websites.

When I first began writing the blog, I had to log on to the site, then enter the new content directly on to the webpage that was my blog. Now, due to new software, I can write the content offline in a word document, press a button, then upload it directly to the site. I can also upload attachments, including images, in the same way.

Last week I received an interesting e mail from a visitor to my blog site. He invited me to visit his own blogging site, and register to have my own blog there. He also informed me that I would be paid for writing regular blogs on the site.

I visited the site immediately. Was it too good to be true? Was it a scam? The answer to both questions was NO. I found the sign up for the site easy to follow. I soon built the site I wanted and started to write the blogs and update them regularly. I also started to earn real money from the moment my blog site was up and running.

How I wish I had known about this six months ago. I could have been earning money for all the free blogs I have been updating regularly for nothing. That is why I am writing about this in my regular column. You too could be promoting your writing or websites, publishing your thoughts, ideas and articles and earning money at the same time.

If you would like to check out my own blogsite, it is at www.writingup.com/blog/Janet_Darbey You can sign up for your own paying blog by clicking on the words "Create new account" on the left hand side of the page.

Incidentally, if any of you would like a free website, you can get one at www.freewebs.com The owners of this site are really helpful, the software is easy to use, and the results are not only free, but very professional looking! I have been with them for over a year. My own site is at www.freewebs.com/corfuwriter
